A day of beauty.

A couple days ago, I was given the opportunity to sit in on a class with celebrity stylist Matthew Collins at the best salon in Calgary, DKEnvy, so long as I captured all the best moments.  It's hard to get a bad picture when you're photographing such beautiful people.

A big thank you to the  amazing Darlene herself for giving me this opportunity.
Make sure you're checking out these amazing stylists on instagram, @matthewstylist and @dkenvy

Once again, stay beautiful my friends.

Besties and Babies.

Hello friends,

if you didn't know, this last summer, my best friend Amanda blessed me with a beautiful niece, her name is Jordynn.  Well, they happen to be moving to my neck of the woods very soon, and during their quick visit before the big move, I got the wonderful opportunity of photographing them.  Beautiful natural lighting with even more beautiful subjects!

My absolute favorite!

Family is everything, a lovely shot with auntie Brandy and little Rico.

Girls got style, check those kicks!

I've always loved how peaceful babies and children look while they're sleeping, I couldn't resist sneaking this shot!

I'm enjoying this adventure of discovery so much, and every subject is becoming a different and more beautiful wonder, thank you so much you two for allowing me this.

A Black and White Romance.

For my very first couples shoot, I wanted to keep things simple.  Focusing 100% on the subjects.  Black and white is so straight forward, you get what you see with no complications, and that's exactly how it is with these two.  Raw and clear emotions full of love.  Feel good photos is what I capture with Brandy & Russ, thanks a bundle you two!

A true family photo.

Love that all the Christmas lights were still up on this walking bridge.  Created a lovely back drop.

Definitely one of my favorites!

Thank you incredibly to my wonderful models.  Out door modelling in Calgary in the middle of winter isn't easy, but they braved those chilly temperatures like champs.  Stay beautiful everyone!

Welcome to my Homes.

Hello friends!

Here I go again!  Inspiration is hitting and although that may just be because I've decided to go to school for photography and a portfolio is in dire needs, it's inspiration none the less.  I just got back from a vacation, which for any of you that read my other blog, "Life on Speed", I will elaborate a ton more.  However, for this blog, I'm just going to share the special moments of my vacation I was able to capture.

To start, anyone who knows me, knows that the only bird I'll not only tolerate, but love as well is a duck.  On my very first adventure to Granville Island, I came about a dock with a ton of these little guys all just hanging out together.  I've never seen so many in one place.  Do you think ducks make good pets?

One of the best parts about my Penticton half of the trip.  Getting to see my beautiful best friend's baby, my niece Jordynn.  It's truly crazy how much they can change in a matter of months.  I mean, her eyes did go from definitely blue to "shit brown" as Amanda put it lol.

If only, if only. my memory served me better I might actually be able to tell you all the name of this bridge.  However, despite as much time as I spent on and around it I can't recall what it's name is.  Beauty of a site surrounding it though, from the top to the bottom.

The highlight of Vancouver, maybe!  I had been looking forward to going to the Aquarium since before the trip was even planned there.  It's been years since I've gone and it did not disappoint.  The jelly fish were my favorite I think, there was just something so majestic in the way they moved about, plus the contrast in the colors was to die for!

Gastown.  Enough said?  Such a beautiful and historic part of Vancouver and blah blah blah.  Just kidding, this isn't some tourist description.  The only reason I had to come shoot the ever popular steam clock was because while on my trinket shopping spree, I came across the most magnificent photo and this is what it was of.  I just had to get one for myself.

Once again, thanks a million for checking out my hobby.  If you're looking for the bigger story on my trip to penticton/vancouver I'll be posting it on my other blog Life on Speed in the next couple days, make sure to give it a look.  In a world where you're surrounded by it, stay beautiful
